How do you spot a broken electrical wire in a plaster? and got a better answer
Response from Антон Владимирович[+++++]
If I understand correctly - soldered, it means short-circuited. That's exactly the kind of device that is nowhere to be found. There are only those that are looking for a broken wire. According to the principle - until it is not broken, there is a magnetic field. As long as the wire is broken, the field is gone. That's how all the devices work. And do they find it?

If the wires are soldered, it is better to replace the whole piece because there is a possibility of repetition and the occurrence of fire.

There are special devices to search for hidden wiring. I can't say how accurate the results of such a search are. In all likelihood, you would have to replace the entire wire. And in order not to break the plaster, you can just run a new piece of wire under the baseboard, along the wall, and disconnect the old one altogether.
