Unscrew the hard drive from the PC, take it in your hands, take a chisel with a hammer and halve the drive!

I think they wrote it right, but I don't know what you're talking about. Look for bootable CD/DVD with HDD maintenance tools, you can probably find it at the market or from your friends. If your drive is big and SATA, it is unlikely it will be visible in the system when booting from the CD. That being said, you should start by installing the system on the _unbroken_ hard drive,. The system will ask you to create a partition - create only one! system partition to put the system on. I advise to put about 5-7 gigs of space _only_ for the system. All programs better be put in another partition, and the machine will be livelier, and the files kissed:. Contact me if you have any questions.
