Relation of design to engineering construction technology? and got a better answer

Well, everything is clear here: this connection exists and is manifested in the fact that each product must be technological - i.e.: a product contains standardized serially or mass-produced elements; b production does not require manufacturing special tooling and tools, possibly using existing tools; c product does not contain scarce and expensive and difficult to process materials; of course, for different types of production: single, pilot, serial small-batch and large-batch, mass production requirements to manufacturability are different. and

well. here everything is clear: this connection exists and is shown in that each product should be technological - i.e.: a product contains standardized serially or mass produced elements; b for production does not demand production of special rigging and tools, possibly using existing tools; c product does not contain scarce and expensive, and also hardly workable materials; certainly, for different types of production: single, experimental, serial small-batch and large-batch, mass production requirements to manufacturability are different. and

The design documentation, after the prequalification stage is completed, is coordinated with the process engineers. They know the production possibilities and, if necessary, require adjustments to the design documentation so that the design is technologically sound.

Put yourself in the place of a turner, welder, simple worker, and think about how you will make parts, how you will weld, how you will mount and move structures.

Strange question The connection is direct - any engineering structure is made by design documentation In simple words - the workers who produce something, do not need to know all the regulatory documents GOSTs, OSTs, TU, quality instructions, etc., which must comply with the products. This must be taken into account in the design documentation. Also in the design documentation the scope with the means of quality control of the product shall be specified, for example: welding type, scope and methods of control of welded joints shall be specified in the documentation on welded structures. After the fabrication of the structure to sign the certificate of commissioning of the object it is necessary to have a representative of the design organization to sign that the product is built, assembled etc. in accordance with the project.
