I would advise you to use starch in the form of a spray which is used during ironing. Well, very handy if you need something starchy such as a man's shirt. It's sold everywhere in household chemicals. Try it and maybe you like this option.

Starch smells like starch.VotSina and other starching products contain PVA glue and last a few washings and a nice smell from the laundry
