Plasmas die in 2-3 years, especially if under direct sun where they stand. LCDs last longer

the opinion of the seller-expert of the department of audio-video: LCD, eats less power, not burn out as much as plasma, all these problems relate rather to older models, the new they are mostly solved. pps. pay attention - Sony, Toshiba - refused to produce plasma screens in favor of LCD - something that probably says. pps. you can look at the projection TV.

LCD is one lamp shining on a light guide which unfolds this light onto a light filter consisting of liquid crystals which under the action of an electric current change their outlines and thus change the ratio of light passing through them as if filtering out the desired colors Plasma is a lot of single bulbs figuratively speaking Plasma has worse resolution but better color rendering- Better to use as a TV viewer watch movies on a big screen Lcd has better resolution which leads to their use in computers which have high resolution information such as text.
