can't you tell your mom? She's your mother and she has to know when you need it and when you don't. If you don't like it, just tell her straight. If you're too scared to pay, although I don't understand it, wait until your mom talks to you about it or something close to it and tell her!

I went without until a friend gave it to me. it was harder to tell my mother about the pads. she probably already knew i was growing up, but somehow she expected me to tell her myself and pretended not to understand until then. and very convincingly. you have to talk to her directly about it, so get up the courage.
