what do you think of PelevinGenerational pi's book? and got a better answer
Response from
Not a bad book, or rather the first half. But the mushroom theme is overly hyperbolized. Considering that the book was written in 1998, one can assume that Pelevin stole the idea from Beigbeder, whose novel 99 francs was published a year earlier and, to be honest, is better written. Although, if we take into account the principle of the hovering of thoughts in the ether, maybe the creative intentions of the authors coincided in time?

It's not a bad book. I read it a long time ago, about four years ago. It's an ordinary read. We have seen much more than that in real journalistic life

This story should be banned. They don't like it when they tell the truth about us, or worse, when they write about us. Only good or nothing about them. Otherwise we can get angry with them and show all sorts of rubbish from which the social conscience will pass into the unconsciousness of citizens or the subconscious of the rarefied crowd. So it's not even worth trying to show, tell and ask about it all.

An average read. Not Dostoevsky of course. But not totally lame like Dontsova either.

A good novel, not Pelevin's best, but not as lame as Numbers.

Wow. But The Hermit and Six-Fingered liked it better. Kinder and more optimistic I'm an incorrigible optimist. And of all the things I've read from Pelevin, the term I liked the most was roto-asshole.
