Not all are lost. Go ahead and read the literature on the theory of photogaphy on the internet you can find a lot. For example E. MichelPhotogaphy D. KilpatrickLight and Lighting J. WadeTechniques of Landscape Photogaphy. All books were published in the USSR All are on the Internet And you can look in second-hand books or photo stores. Also there are. Good luck and good luck!
