I haven't noticed either, although I've been there three times. Maybe there was some kind of accident.

Well first of all not everywhere and not always.Sometimes in cold weather and only in Old Town. You have to think! Some sections of sewers are from the Middle Ages. They are shallow and with straight drains. There! And.nothing to attack one of the finest cities in the world!
