did you buy it off hand? did you stress test it before buying it? did the drivers fit ok?

Your reason you took your video card out, probably didn't even touch the drivers on the old one. Then you put in another video card. Video cards from two different companies! You probably also have two applications, geforce and catalyst. You haven't changed the Windows, and then you ask me something else. Change the goddamn system right now and clean it up. Without a clean system, no one can give you a guarantee that it's not Windows with Catalyst and Giforce fucking around. But if such a shit will be on a clean system, then already ask your questions.
