There may be several ways out of this situation: 1. change the heat source - light a spirit or a small gas burner instead of a candle 2. take a ceramic or glass tube and carefully blow into the flame of extra air, and even better - pure oxygen! The temperature of the flame will increase, paraffins will be more deeply oxidized to CO2 and H2O and there will be no soot. Learn chemistry! Love chemistry - source of knowledge!
