A fixed-term employment contract is concluded for a fixed term. If it comes to an end, the employment relationship between the parties is terminated. If the parties want, they have the right to conclude a new fixed-term Contract. If in your case, there is no need to sign any additional agreement, but simply sign an open-ended Employment Contract.
