Creating a video file from other people's clips? and got a better answer

I once posted a video of a gunfight. I shot it from my balcony. Posted it on YouTube. The video went viral on the Internet in 24 hours - so what, I'm gonna sue everybody? YouTube is a free zone. There's commerce and copyrights on content. But if you take one, the maximum you'll get is the blocking of the video with a specified place of blocked content. But for the most part, people know perfectly well that their videos can be used, copied, and they don't care?

Take whatever you want. No one is going to sue you for it.

Upload it to YouTube and it will tell you right away if it's right or wrong. If you're right, delete the video and that's it.
