Hello, my wavy parrot is 5 years old. I want to get a female, she is about 2 months old. Will age affect their relationship? and got a better answer

It is very desirable that birds should be about the same age, otherwise an adult parrot can beat up a small one. If your parrot has lived alone all his life, he may not accept a mate at all. 5 years is a serious age for a budgie. My opinion - or buy a female of the same age, or better not to buy at all?

Put them in different cages first, you can put them next to each other and watch how they communicate.
