Yes, it's self-deception Or rather, it's a salesman's trick, a marketing ploy The product is sold at the price it's worth?

no discounts on new items-the rest is a clearance sale!

different product different discounts Well, no one seller will not sell the goods to his detriment, ie below self-cost.

Usually the kit includes items that are about to expire or items that are not well bought. This is not speculation I've worked in a supermarket for 8 years and I know how customers are cheated. And then what is a discount? Compared to what with goods that are sold in the same store? And in a store two blocks away or at a wholesale market, the price of the same product without a discount is lower than in a discounted store. So it's self-defeating.
