You can. Now I just can not find the link, but you can connect to achieve the total calculated volume. For example, you need to have a hydraulic accumulator for 40 liters by calculation, and you have two of 20. You take and connect to one line. The same is true for different volumes. Only theoretically in practice you would have to interfere with the electronics and a series connection would do nothing!
