First, it must be handmade. Further as far as I know in Turkey carpets are woven with a double knot so they are stronger but consumed more consumable material and therefore more time and therefore will cost more. Plus, all the same in Turkey are woven silk carpets - it is very, very, very difficult and takes a huge amount of time, respectively, very expensive. Further, the older the carpet the more expensive but it should not crumble in your hands and be in holes, ie old but durable - very expensive in the East, even such carpets change to new and still pay extra.
