I first encountered his work after listening to the song:The man who sold the world.Really liked it.Later I listened to everything. In fact Cobain the man lived a cool life and got to be talked about even after his death. I think that's an achievement.

As a person, I don't know, I never met him. But definitely the last real rock idol, in the classical sense of the meaning of the definition. The music is probably the best thing that was in rock in the first half of the 90s.
