Nothing peculiar. It's all consistent. The only major peculiarity is minority versus majority and always wins, with brutal suppression.

Russia follows a peculiar historical path. There used to be ancient tribes, but then there were boyars, and they began to rule the people, the Russian people. When Ivan the Terrible came to power, he killed a lot of people and wrote letters to Kurbsky. And then came the turmoil from which Peter 1 was born. Peter I decided that Russia had to have a window to Europe and build St. Petersburg. He also liked to build ships. Then there were all sorts of tsars and queens, like Nicholas 2, Catherine 2, Alexander 1-2-3. They oppressed the people and the Decembrists. Pushkin didn't like autocracy. Then Lenin V.I. was born. Lenin had a revolution and overthrew all the tsars, but he was killed by illness and Stalin. And now Russia is ruled by V.V. Putin.
