There used to be a sailor who served on a destroyer. Once the tsar ordered him to go to war with Turkey and the Germans and the Swedes. The destroyer sailed there and fought, too. But in the battle an enemy shell flew in and knocked out the sailor's teeth. Because of that, he began to whisper a little bit. And when, many years later, this brave sailor was asked who he was and where he was from, he answered: - I am a Shishminyan. So his children were called Shishmintsevs. That is such a heroic story.

Probably from Shinshilla.

There is such a site. Look it up in a search engine. They will tell you everything about your surname, but for a fee.

We have the Shishme River and the village of Shishmintsevo.

Shishma in Turkic languages is a fat, obese person. Shishmar or shishimora - an evil spirit, unclean force. An ancient secular name.

Affftar zhjot! I don't know the origin of my last name either! Yours is probably from some Shishmin, an ancient merchant.
