A friend with a child got an apartment! Do I need my ex-husband's consent to privatize it? and got a better answer

Response from
according to the law of the russian federation on privatization. a citizen applies for privatization of housing with the consent of all jointly living family members, and these citizens are included in the privatization agreement, unless they have declared a notarial refusal. i.e. if your husband is not currently living with you, is not registered in the apartment and the law between you is terminated, then the consent of the former husband is not needed for privatization?

According to the law of the Russian Federation on privatization. a citizen applies for privatization of housing with the consent of all cohabiting family members and these citizens are included in the privatization contract, unless they have not declared a refusal in a notarial order. i.e. if the husband does not live with you at present, is not registered in the apartment and the law between you is terminated, then the consent of the former husband is not needed for privatization.

If he is an ex and the apartment was obtained in a divorce, what does the husband have to do with it?

depends on who she got it from.

What's the BM got to do with it? You only need consent to privatization from jointly registered adults.

If she received an apartment after March 1, 2005, she will not be able to privatize it. Privatization is allowed for apartments received before March 1, 2005. If they were received before that date, her husband's consent is not needed.
