A question for experienced programmers? and got a better answer

Learn whatever you can. At the height of my programming career I was fluent in about a dozen languages, and knew as many more at the level of what they write. Is it much worse now?

It's a personal thing. I studied web technologies because I'm more interested in them. Some people are more interested in Delphi, some in C. Or alternatively begin to learn everything slowly and then figure out what is more interesting.

For example I don't like programming at all but I just happened to enter the software program in my time. You have to try and compare everything with experience. The first 2 years I did not write anything by myself, I parsed other people's programs and reworked the interfaces of Delphi. And then on the third year we had computer graphics, I wrote a beautiful Gothic interface in Pascal, I liked the process itself, my parents could not tear me away from the computer and then I realized that I mostly like to do design work. Then was the course of web-programming, where I found an opportunity to satisfy my inclinations, although to be honest it happens and za***at much. My classmate, on the contrary, is shaking while writing sliders on c++, she has no patience for alignment of buttons and fields: There were those who began to learn by specialty seriously disappointed in programming and their work associated with the administration. Search for your own technology, study different programming languages, this experience will never be superfluous. You understand somehow that this thing you like and this thing you do not, that you like sweet and not salty. In the same way, if you find something interesting you will understand it here;
