At change of a surname of a name or a patronymic for use of earlier received documents with the old data giving the rights it is necessary to certify such change. If the change can be documented, it is illegal to require a change in the main document for its acceptance when exercising the right. In your case, replacement of the patronymic is possible in the birth certificate, together with the certificate of change in the acts of civil status POSSIBLE through the court.
