There's absolutely nothing to lose. Are there prettier places to be?

I've never been there either. But I've been to the Tretyakovka and I've seen Brezhnev's brilliant portraits.

Not much, but all the same, something has been lost:

Now Arbat is not like in the times of Bulgakov's Master and Margarita.

No. You personally have not lost anything. Except why do you care so much?

Let them not be. Have you seen the garbage dump under the windows? All Moscow is a garbage dump but a big one.

Moscow is in fact a merchant's merchant of Ostrovsky's plays, you can't see it at once. I agree that in Altai you've come and all your thoughts and heart will belong to it. It fascinates with the power of nature by its dim but pure colors and unfathomable mysteries of the Earth. And any cities are people architecture much is hidden from the visitors.

And I often visit Moscow when I'm passing through. In spite of all its matreshchetnost and showy gloss - one of the few streets in Moscow where it is interesting to walk. At least for me. But we haven't lost anything, that's for sure.

today has lost nothing, but 20 years ago.
