Salmon, a species of salmon fish in the genus Salmon tastes better than pink salmon, though it all depends on their preparation.

Here, read this to make it clearer: salmon belongs to the Atlantic salmon genus and pink salmon to the Pacific salmon genus. Salmon differs from pink salmon in size: salmon is much bigger, its maximum documented dimensions are 1.5 meters long and weigh 43 kilograms. The largest pink salmon is only 76 centimeters in length and 7 kilograms in weight; the average size of the fish is understandably much smaller. Both species are anadromous, meaning they live in the open ocean and come into rivers to spawn. To increase biological diversity of water bodies and for breeding for food purposes the pink salmon is introduced, i.e. artificially settled outside its natural habitat. The salmon has a subspecies that lives only in fresh waters. Compared with salmon, salmon has denser meat. It is well suited for cutting into thin slices for sandwiches, rolls and delicatessen slices. And the taste qualities of salmon are much higher, and its meat has a much richer red color and perfectly complements the table laden with delicacies. Given that pink salmon is one of the most common salmon fish, it is not surprising that the cost of salmon is much higher. This fish is in the "luxury" consumer segment. This term refers to not only food products for people with tight wallets, and pink salmon is a kind of light version of salmon for the poor, but both fish are "suppliers" of delicacy red caviar. Salmon is much fattier, and I like it either grilled, over charcoal, or baked in an aerogrill, or in the oven, in foil. Pink salmon is a bit dry for many, you have to know how to cook it properly. Slightly salted, for example, it is very delicious. If you bake it in the oven under tomatoes and cheese, wrapped in foil-tasty and juicy fish turns out. To tell you the truth, salmon is a bit too fatty for me, especially around the fins, so I can't eat more than one piece. I like trout better.

salmon is more tender and fatty

Salmon is greasy and tasteless. Pink salmon is much more meaty and has a more pronounced flavor.
