Depending on the acid content, pomegranates are sweet, sweet-sour, and sour. We sell sour pomegranates year-round, but in late autumn you can enjoy the large, truly southern, splashing fruit with juice. By the way, sour pomegranates are stored much better than sweet ones, a dry cool room or the bottom shelf of the refrigerator is suitable for this. Its fruits contain many valuable substances, which has been known since ancient times to the Greeks, Chinese, Tajiks and Georgians. The great Avicenna mentioned pomegranate 150 times in his medical treatises and for a good reason. Even today folk medicine books recommend to use not only fruits but also flowers, bark and roots. Pomegranate juice increases the body's resistance to various diseases, including colds, viral and infectious diseases, thanks to vitamin C. Lazy to cook pomegranates - eat them in their pristine form. They stimulate appetite and regulate the gastrointestinal tract. If your heart is aching, it is better to eat not the juice, but the fruits: the seeds can strengthen the heart muscle. If you have kidney problems or mouth and throat problems, it is advisable to drink the juice or eat pomegranates for a few days until you feel better. In order to remove acne, pomegranate juice, soap foam and salt are mixed together, which makes the skin well-cleansed; it is enough to keep the mask on the face for 2 to 3 minutes. Through my own experiments I have come to the conclusion that pomegranates can be used not only for strengthening, but also for hair coloring. But only for a single coloring. Very effective look pomegranate strands on blond hair - for this purpose, the individual strands are carefully rubbed with pomegranate juice better concentrate and dried. Since pomegranates contain a fairly large amount of citric acid, they can be used effectively to whiten the face, remove pigment spots, blackheads and freckles, or simply as a cleanser. Wipe palms with pomegranate juice after peeling young potatoes or gardening and the dark spots are gone. If pomegranate juice is added to sour cream it makes an excellent nourishing skin cleanser.

The lighter the rind of the pomegranate, the sweeter it is! Dark red ones are sour!
