Pure mathematics. Just highlights the numbers 0, 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81 with the same symbol. And with a given number manipulation, you always get one of them subtract the ones from the number, leaving pure tens. And then the number of tens is subtracted from the number of tens, i.e. 69 -> 69-9=60 -> 60-6=54?
