If the people consisted of only sexually preoccupied young people then the elections would be won by those who promised a sea of pornography, legalization of drugs, child prostitution and many other interesting things. The common people should NEVER tell the country what policies to pursue, what monuments to erect, where to invest money, in nanotechnology or a new vibrator factory or a new rubber woman or a pornographic magazine. Never! Because it is clear what the common man will choose - more food, more money, less work, a fatter wife, etc., etc. The only problem is that the common man does not care about anything except his garden, he does not need genetic engineering and molecular physics. Draw conclusions.
