I wonder, but the odds are getting slimmer by the day and the point of no return is coming, so why not ever?

Never under capitalism. And, in general, the idea smacks of utopia. Communism propagated a similar idea. That's a good thing, of course, but it's hardly possible

To answer the first part of the question: everyone's conscience, like truth, is different. And until everyone thinks alike, which I hope will not happen, the system of relations governing capital and the division of labor remains the most efficient.

Conscience is an inconvenient thing, preventing us from enjoying the benefits and resting on our laurels. Cornerstone cannot be initially, precisely as preventing people in power from benefiting. And the desire to profit from everyone and everything is exactly what distinguishes those who aspire to the heights of power.

If you consider Darwin's theory of the descent of man from an ape, then never. Conscience fell off with the tail: because it was not needed.

And where does the value of the existence of conscience come from? And what kind of social order is needed? What criteria does it have, how do we know that this is the social order in which conscience is the rock. and not behind the groove? Pagans never do.
