It's no more dangerous than anywhere else. I've been going for years and I'm fine. Just book seats in early fall, at least closer to the New Year it is problematic.

Remember S. Bodrov's crew. They also went to make movies. If you're a total dilettante in THIS - start with proven resorts where lifeguards and service is available.

I will refute. I went there to rest for 2 years in a row. Great staff, security service. Radio communications are always there + to all Megafon tower is at the very top, so if you use this operator can call and call for help in case chago! Moreover, if you do not have Megafon you will be offered to buy from them quietly connect. No problem. On each level of the highlands there is a hotel with high-class service.
