only question is what do you really want - to publish something for self-affirmation or to try to learn journalism as a profession? In the first case, you'd probably be turned down, especially if the magazine is serious. novices in our business are not liked because they mostly write nothing. no one will bother with an occasional author. it would be cheaper to turn them down because to relaunch an inexperienced person is pure torture, it's easier to write by yourself. but if you want to try to teach yourself.

There in magazines on the last page or on the first page everything is written! Just don't know that it will be printed.

Victoria's advice. She's right. If you really want to learn to write well you should start to write for a not very famous and prestigious edition where you can polish your writing style and then go to a more demanded edition where most likely you may be offered some dull work and only after some time when the editorial board sees that you know the industry you will be offered to improve your writing style and learn from the masters of the pen.
