Hamster food consists of cereal seeds as I recall. I had a hamster. This kind of food can be stored for a very long time and doesn't need to stand sealed. Also do not forget that the hamster eats not everything at once and takes the food to his nest. Therefore do not give him perishable food otherwise it will rot in his pantry. What he needs to be fresh is a drink - clean water.

If damp. he quickly gets moldy and hamsters get poisoned. Parasites breed. the result is the same. From experience. food must be fresh. Be sure to freeze in the freezer. In principle, it is better there and store. Hamsters from the pet store are basically laboratory animals and have no immunity.
