Let me disagree with you. With all my respect for cats, I still don't think it's the same thing - taking care of a cat and a baby. It's not really comparable. Love for animals is also the key to a healthy society. Maybe through this we will learn to love people. Taking a child from an orphanage and picking up a kitten on the street are not the same thing. Not everyone is capable of such a dare I say it.
