there's a time pressure at work and people forget about it, it's better to choose a flower - callanhoe, for instance. Violets and cactuses seem banal to me. Bamboos are a boring sign of prosperity and well-being, though

Shade. Poorly lit place, but enough light to read the newspaper for a few hours a day Only a few of the ornamental leafy plants grow successfully in such conditions - these include aglaonema, aspidistra, aspleni-um. But aglaonema, aspidistra, fringed dracaena, fragrant dracaena, ferns, common ivy, sansevieria, scindapsus, tommia, fatschedera, fatsia, dwarf ficus, climbing philodendron, fittonia can adapt to the penumbra

In the shade, far from the window, the following can grow: Aspidistra, Aglaonema, Sansevieria, Scindapsus, Philodendron climbing. Colorful varieties is not worth to get, they will still in the shade will lose their color. Next to a poorly lit window or beside a well-lit window the following can be planted except for the above: dracenas, fernicas, ivy, ficus, fathsia.

Buy a manster. Its advantage is that it not only grows in the penumbra, but it absorbs negative energy and grows vigorously. Checked!

For example species of ficus with large leaves rubber-leafed most shade-tolerant pike-tail, etc. at least at me grow well.

If you like beautiful leaves buy a maranta or monstera and if you prefer flowering plants then get a violet or azalea. All of these plants are great in the north window tested myself.
