I want to file for divorce. But my passport is being re-issued. Is this possible? and got a better answer

Maybe, but after the divorce you'll probably have to change your passport again. And to apply for a divorce in court without a passport is realistic. The proceedings won't start right away anyway, but after about two weeks at least?

Why not? If you apply to the court you do not have to give your passport data, if you apply through the registry office you have to show a certificate stating that your passport is being re-issued

It will not take long to have your passport re-issued, and then you can apply if they do not accept your application without it.

may receive it, but they cannot review the case without the document.
