it depends on the situation to keep silent doesn't mean to lie but to save somebody's nerves but as for yourself it's harder, you know and understand and you have really decided what to do but you are hesitating!

it's a philosophical question : there are different degrees of lies and different degrees of ways and motives of rescue it's impossible to answer unequivocally one must make a decision every time depending on the situation

A lie is a lie the environment is not the same if you have to lie somewhere. I would even argue about the information for severe forms of disease. Yes the truth sometimes brings pain but more joy. And if you can't keep from lying, it's better to keep quiet!
