Just the German Shepherds are the best service and guard dogs. They are less dangerous to their owners than all kinds of fighting breeds. But it's better to take the dog from a service kennel.

My friend has a country house. Got herself a German Shepherd, but did not train her. The dog - the kindest loves people but nevertheless if someone stops near the fence barks killer bass. She is afraid and probably the goal is achieved. But of course at normal with a dog it is necessary to be engaged though it demands a lot of efforts and time and finances. For me the German Shepherd is my favorite breed - beautiful, clever and loyal.

I had a German Shepherd! The most wonderful dog! And as a guard and as a friend and as a dog in general! Very loyal and wonderful animal!
