Probably a virus, but this is the first time I met that do not open equalizers and things like that Maybe you installed the wrong drivers. Try everything about sound uninstall then reinstall. Check all the boxes.

look in the settings I've had this happen to the Prado it's a long way off so it's hard to find but it's hardly a glitch

The first thing to do is to restart your computer. 2 - Adjust the settings. Check if the speaker is disabled on the bottom line. There is a sign there - the speaker.
