Hmm. Our music has been suppressed for a long time, pushed out into the underground. And it hasn't moved away from that and is unlikely to do so in the next half-century. Our situation with music is even worse than that with the car industry. Taking into account that music all over the world is dying out, and even old and respected bands started to release some garbage, or at best just something simplified and impersonal - our music has no possibility even to arise, let alone to develop?

well, first of all, i wouldn't say so. though it depends on who you communicate with. and then, russia is one and there are many other countries and so there are much more foreign bands than russian ones. and the second reason is that when you listen to a russian song you understand how rubbish it is, and when you listen to a foreign one, you don't understand the words, you think that they say something clever

because our country is little capable of doing anything. everything comes from there. i've noticed that the latest pop songs from our country - it's the forgotten old stuff - why invent something new when you can take something forgotten and put russian lyrics on it. and not only fucking pop music is guilty of it.
