You can. If you don't dilute, it won't print, it's too thick. If you dilute it, it will leak, it will foul the damper and spill on the table. Again, ink-jet printers with piezo- and thermal heads have different requirements for ink.

If your printer is an inkjet printer, the ink must be of a certain dispersion Otherwise, it will either leak or not pass through the nozzles.
