If you go to the Ukrainian Pripyat, take Evgeny's advice and the Belarusian Pripyat is no better. Everything is covered with Chernobyl radionuclides and at ChNPP all the same small emissions go regularly through the rubble mound, just do not write anything about it.

you won't get there by yourself. But the excursion program organized there is safe enough, so you don't have to take anybody. You should take batteries for your camera, they run out quickly.
