Your questions are absolutely fair but socialization is inevitable - it goes on all the time. Family, school, etc. are special institutions and a simple altercation on the bus is everyday socialization. Whether you want it or not, you will be crippled by society or you will be locked up because you don't think like everyone else. It's an inevitability, just act on your conscience - it will never deceive you.
