According to Sanitary rules and norms 2.4.2.576-96 Hygienic requirements to the conditions of schoolchildren education in different types of modern general educational institutions: 2.3.12. The area of classrooms shall be taken at the rate of 2.5 square meters per student in frontal forms of classes, 3.3 square meters - in group forms of work and individual classes. 2.3.13. The area and use of computer rooms shall meet the requirements of SanPiN 2.2.2.542-96. We refer to the above SanPiN: 4.4. The area per working place with VDTs or PCs for adult users shall be not less than 6.0 square meters, and the volume shall be not less than 20.0 cubic meters. 4.5. The area per working place with VDTs and PCs in all educational and preschool institutions shall be not less than 6.0 square meters, and the volume shall be not less than 24.0 cubic meters. That is - not less than 6 square meters!
