And we have a pre-New Year's Eve tradition to freeze! We once got tired of getting and giving New Year's gifts in March and decided on the 31st to go around our friends and relatives and put presents under the tree and get our own. Each time we showed up in symbolic costumes, the husband was Santa Claus, I was Sneedurochka, the daughter - Santa Claus who does not speak Russian, the husband is a hot Finnish snow maiden and I am a translator, etc. etc. Everybody loves it! Last year we couldn't make it, so people got excited and started coming to us.

We have Christmas traditions in Estonia. It is obligatory to meet Christmas in the family circle on the table should be a blood sausage and to it lingonberry jam not very sweet. They drink hot spiced wine baked or buy cookies piparok very fragrant with spices and peppers. On December 24, it is obligatory to visit the cemetery on the graves of relatives and light candles. In the evening the sight is fantastic - the entire cemetery is lit up it seems that it floats in the air. Believers go to church on this day.
