If you format the disk, everything will be deleted. If not, you can retrieve everything except the internet settings for example.

You will have to reinstall and reconfigure everything! If your hard drive is partitioned into logical drives, data will be saved on all drives except the one you installed Windows on.

You should have put all your files on one part of the disk and put it on the other part.

it depends on how you reinstall. usually you copy the info you need to another disk. format the disk with the windup and install windup. there will be nothing but windup.

Everything will be screwed if you format the entire hard drive during installation!

if you format it, all information will be deleted if not formatting over the old one, don't advise, files will stay, some programs will not work!

if you format a disk then of course nothing will happen, but if you have two disks you drop what you need on one and you can format the other

look at everything on the system disk, i.e. the disk where you installed Windows, after formatting it will be deleted. Drivers you installed, programs you played, everything will be gone! better copy all your files to someplace, make sure there are drivers on your computer and then format and reinstall the windup

Formatting will lead your computer to pristine condition. output is this: Write the files you need on CDs or external media removable hard drive, flash drives, and other things that must be saved: My Documents folder Favorites Mail - if it was on your computer and not from Ineta Address Book - see above. Folder with downloaded information installation programs - music, movies, etc. Remember your Internet settings - better write down on paper then reinstall Windows When you reinstall you must have ready disk Windows - with code disk office - with the codes disk from the motherboard with drivers for audio, chipset Processor and other things. here seems all the basic steps Start button, icons - My Computer, My Documents all this will remain: this is part of the system but my documents will be empty

Reinstalling can be different if you format partition C: it will be a pristine clean drive but only if there are viruses on your drive, they will also go kaput. If you just reinstall without formatting then My Documents folder will contain old data, but the system is likely to be unstable.
