Alas, the collar does not and could not help. A flea collar is used to keep animals from getting fleas, and if they already have them, then applying the collar is pointless. Usually those who don't know put on the collars and the fleas just move from the withers to the lower part of the body, that's all. If you are advised this by a vet, I suggest you go to another vet who will suggest effective remedies.
