This is a viewfinder eyepiece plug. Used when checking the sensor for broken/hot pixels, when you want - for the purity of the experiment - not only to put the lens cap on, but also to prevent stray light from reaching the sensor through the viewfinder channel?

This is a viewfinder eyepiece plug. It is used to check the sensor for hot pixels when you want to keep the cap not only on the lens but also to prevent stray light entering the sensor through the viewfinder channel.

If you mean kenon it's the viewfinder cap. You take the eyecup off and close it. See the manual. I haven't dealt with the other pictures so I don't know.

This cap is also used when you take photos of yourself with a tripod or when you don't look through the eyepiece. It's mentioned in the manual, by the way.
