STAKHANOV in 1937-1940 Sergo, before 1937 and in 1940-1978 Kadievka, town from 1932 in Ukraine, Lugansk region, near the railway station Stakhanov. Population 99 thousand 2001. Coal extraction. Plants: of ferroalloys, coke-chemical, carriage works etc. History-art museum. It was founded in the middle of the 19th c. It was named by A. G. Stakhanov.
