"A Russian is not defined by blood or religion. He who considers the Russian language and Russian culture his own, the history of Russia his history, who has shed and is ready to shed his and other people's blood in the name of Russia and only for its sake, and cannot think of any other homeland or nation, is a Russian"?

Think about the word "Russian". Is it a name or a predicate? After all, a German does not call himself German or a Spaniard Spanish, etc. And therefore "Russian" is whose? or what? - And this is the wisdom of our people. After all, not only Russians, but also Lithuanians, Poles, Greeks, Turks, Germans, Danes, Scots, etc. took part in the formation and development of Russian culture. And in general and according to Pushkin: "... and Bryus and Bauer and Repnin and the luckless darling of the homeless..." ... Therefore "Russian" is anybody who lives by the values of Russian culture, the imperatives of our morality and ethics, the same bases of his motivation and in general - leads a Russian way of life. And to demand some kind of ethnic "purity" in our time, after the historical mixing of tribes and peoples, is ridiculous for a Russian and a German and ... and even for a Jew. Clearly and unequivocally - there is no ethnic purity in any of us and a long time ago. That is why and of course - Russia is for all of us - Russians for the Russian way of life.

A person who: 1. Loves Russia up to the point of exaltation. 2. Virtuoso speaks Russian. 3. He considers himself a Russian and is proud of it. 4. The breadth of soul in which borders on slovenliness. fortunately or not, I have not met such people without Russian blood.
