Anything's possible.

Did the partisans themselves tell you that, or the invading French? I haven't heard anything from either of them. Are they only telling you this? Or do you have voices? No visions yet?

a partisan is an armed bandit. because there were no uniforms and shoulder straps, by the way, for this very reason, the fascists killed all partisans in the most brutal way. they fought banditry. but people in shoulder straps are a prisoner of war. a completely different attitude.

I'm afraid no one can say that for sure now! And it's unlikely that the Russian army burned the noblemen's estates and then the French attacked in August - September at that time it's hard to talk about starvation the forest would have fed perfectly. As for the Red Army, the partisan movement was planned in advance, establishing food bases and so on. Read the memoirs of Kovpak Terekhin and others.

Matvey! I understand that Russians are not liked in the Baltics. But not that much!

The farther into the woods. The farther into the forest the thicker the partisans!
